My new bedroom

I'm so excited right now! Why??

...Because I got the same bedding that Bella Swan has on her bed in the movie, Twilight!! It is from Target

They are sold out online but they had a few at my local target so I am assuming there are still some floating around. I slept with it last night for the first time, and it is incredibly comfortable! I am SUPER excited. I have been meaning to get my walls painted for a long time so I am going to paint them a really light grey/silver that has a touch of lavender and I think I am gonna have some glitter spray on it too.

When I get it all done I will post a picture of my room!

Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque

I absolutely adore face masks. Currently my favorite one is Lush's Mask of Magnaminty, which retails for $11.55 for the small size and $20.45 for the larger size. It smells and feels great, and is all natural so I feel organic using it. The biggest problem with it is that it is so fresh it only has a shelf life of 4 months. Now, this sounds like a long time, but I only do face masks about once every 2 weeks, so that is not long at all for so much product. Another problem? I have no lush store near me, which means i have to get it shipped, which means when it all comes down to it my mask really only has 3 months left by the time it gets to me. So even though I love this one, and will continue buying it, I am looking for an easier alternative.

I have heard a ton of good reviews about Queen Helene's Mask but I have never had time to try it out. This one is cheap ($3.99!), you can get it anywhere, and it has great reviews. Seems amazing right? I decided to try it out for the first time late last night when I got home from an 8 hour drive to my parents house. I was stressed out, and I thought the best thing would be a bubble bath and a face mask.

Initial thoughts?

Well, I put it on in the bath and my first thought was that I LOVED the smell! Its very minty, like toothpaste, but slightly sweeter. The perfect clay mask smell. It is also green which I like cause it makes me feel 1950s-ish. I let it dry for about 15 mins and could feel it tingling and getting deep into my pores. It felt great! After 15 mins I washed it off and immediatly my skin felt tight. So tight, that after my bath I had to slather it with face lotion, and again this morning when I woke up. At the end of the night tonight my face was greasy. Was it the mask? Probably not. It was probably all the lotion I put on BECAUSE of the mask. I had one stress pimple from finals week on my chin and it dried that up nicely.

Bottom line?

This still costs $3.99, and you can find it anywhere. It is well worth it. I do not have any major complaints, and actually LOVED the feeling. Will I switch over permanently from Lush's mask? Maybe not completely... but this is for sure a good alternative :)

So I am sitting here tonight online and my housemate, who is at the library "studying" sends me this picture she made of me as a Barbie. Seems fitting for my newest vlog huh?

What I am wearing on my nails right now

Trying to study but painting my nails instead. Right now I am wearing Sinful Colors nail polish in #87 Rose Diamond. This was a present from Wubearkitten off youtube and I believe she bought it from Walmart. The pictures are not that good because I am still trying to figure out my camera. I might need to invest in a new one for the purpose of this blog and youtube. Any suggestions for good cameras?

I tried to locate my lincoln park after dark by OPI but I could not find it anywhere and all 3 roomies said they did not have it. Who knows, maybe it ran away?

Favorite Eye Combo of the Week

Here is my favorite eye combo currently. These change up all the time so this will be an ongoing thread every time I come up with a new "favorite".

I am wearing:
Rubenesque Paint Pot
All That Glitters on the lid
Antiqued in the crease/outer corner
Naked Pigment as a highlight
Raven Eye Kohl
Smokey Lash Mascara by Make up for ever
Underage Gloss

Everything is by Mac Cosmetics except the mascara

I think this look is very warm and wearable. It is very shimmery and girlie :)
Now off the the library to study for finals!

How to dress like an American college student

So I have noticed that college aged girls have a "look". This is pretty standard around the area I go to school, so if it does not look like ANYTHING how people dress where you go to school, then leave a comment and tell me what the trends are in other places! This is a typical "going to class" look:

Black Northface Denali Jacket

Black Leggings

Colored Scarf (my favorites red)

Ugg boots

Longchamp pilage bag for carrying books (again, I have the red one)

And any dark nail polish - I love OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark

I didn't really like this look when I first came to school here (styles are different in the south) but it is really growing on me! I'm really enjoying the longchamp bags :)

All That Glitters T-Shirt

I had about 8 subscribers message me on YouTube to tell me they had seen this shirt at forever21.com and that I needed it!! Well, needless to say, I totally agree!! I bought this yesterday, but I think it's cute for anyone! It's very bright and looks super comfy. It is $13.50 on forever21.com.

Days like this...

Don't you just love mornings when you wake up completely energized ready to take on the day? I sure do, and I don't feel like that often, lol. Today I went to all my classes, did 3 loads of laundry, did all the dishes (which have been piling up foreverrr), vacuumed the downstairs, made 4 videos (that's right, FOUR), and organized my closet. The only thing I didn't do was school work, which is typical because I clean to put off studying. I am completely convinced it was because I went to bed early last night completely relaxed (those candles, ya know?). I plan on doing it again tonight!! I love days like these :)

My New Love - Candles from Bath and Body Works

Recently I have become addicted to lighting candles around my room. They smell delicious and look nice, plus make you feel all girly. My favorite is to light them while I am reading before bed. I find them to be very soothing. My candle of choice? White Barn Candle Company. Currently I have Coconut Lime Verbena burning right now which smells lovely. I like the packaging on these candles as they look nice and with names like firewood and cinnamon bark, who WOULDN'T love these? Buy a couple and light them when you think of it... They are very relaxing :) These can be purchased at bathandbodyworks.com.

I also really like the wallflowers: they make the room smell nice without being overpowering like some wall air fresheners. The one I have plugged in right now is in coconut lim
e verbena as well.. I am not big on mixing scents. Very soothing... bedtime now :) Love you guys!
